ESTHER
SANCHEZ 

Vivacious and creative, Esther Sanchez is passionate about the art of storytelling and is focusing her performing career in theater dance. Recently she has been performing with the 92NY Theater for Young Audiences(TYA) under the direction of Megan Doyle. Some of her favorite performances included Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella, Roal Dahl’s James and the Giant Peach, and she has had the most fun working on their original works such as Alice in Wonderland, Tempest, Lyrics and Lyricists Jr., and Mother Goose!

Other credits include performing as a part of the community ensemble in the world premiere of Bill T. Jones' Deep Blue Sea, "a highly personal work in pursuit of the massive "we" during fractious times" -Bill T. Jones, New York Live Arts. Esther has had the opportunity to dance the runway in New York Fashion Week for Rosario Dawson and Abrima Erwiah’s brand, Studio 189, choreographed by Djassi Johnson. She also made a virtual appearance in a Zoom production of the fabulously comedic yet poignant cabaret show Glitter in the Gutter; choreographed by Catherine Cabeen and Kristina Berger, the show casts a light on some of the dark realities of the dance world and culture through brilliant satire.

  Esther is currently working one-on-one with Amber Tacy, founder of Dancer's Who Lift, to advance her craft using a multidisciplinary, integrative approach. When she's not in class or performing, Esther also brings the joy of dance and musical theater teaching her nuggets in many spaces throughout the city including Broadway Bound Kids, 92NY Musical Theater, and BOLD Arts.
